Wimpy Teachers?

I found a great blog about how teaching isn't for wimps!  I loved it!  I read through several blogs and chuckled at them.  One was about the discipline issues and that the school had started off very slow and that her health was suffering because of the stress in the classroom.  I sooooo understand what she was going through.  I am home sick today and thought that I would not be able to make it through the day yesterday!  My students are taking everything out of me.  Everyday I come home drained and barely can manage to accomplish anything else in my life.  Teaching is certainly not for wimps!  But I am feeling ohhhhh so wimpy!

  1. I agree that teaching is not for wimps and that it does take a lot out of you each day working with these kids. I sometimes get such bad migraines that I cannot physically or mentally concentrate on anything else by the time I get home from work. However, it seems that I am back up each day at 5:00am there bright and early to help out those kids who are struggling, but also drive me nuts because they don't pay attention in class. Many think teaching is such an easy job and we have so many perks. I wish others would come and have a week in our shoes and see how they feel then. I know I am ready for Christmas Break, and yes I might sound like a wimp right now, but I feel we deserve it!
